Good

A very nice composition here. The singer reminded me of Brian Wilson (Beach Boys - Pet Sounds era) and the flute was a unique addition. I would liked to have heard it more - in the right places - not overkill but tastefully, of course. The beat is tight and the song is catchy and moving. I'm not hearing it in stereo, don't know if that was intentional or not but I love good stereo mixes. I like the ideas and mood presented. A good album track!

Initially it reminds me to "Cinderella" style.....recording is not very good but the mood go through the song. It's a lovely song I enjoyed it. Go ahead! Singer is old style, sounds very nice. Finally I have to say it's a very good job!

Very well written and well played song As far as arrangements are concerned it flows very smoothly however the intro could be shortened by about 4 bars without losing anything. As far as the mix goes I think the vocals should come forward. I don't like that the guitar sounds louder than the vocals and excessive reverb can do that. Drums really carry the song changes well and the flute really stands out in the mix I wish there was more of it

Wonderful lyrics and very beautiful song ....

And amazing musicians, of course, than I hear in this very good piece ..... very good footprints and very good tempo of drums and bass ..... excellent punctuation also makes the difference in this song .... very beautiful and exotic I would say riff ... beautiful orchestration and smart variations in music ... melodies and development, one and self ... A voice that is unusually pleasant with a wonderful tune that knows how to sing avoiding the exaggerations ... a radio-friendly song ... a song that does not need much to be loved by the first listening ... good success so, Although I'm sure she already has it ... !!!!

Nice Stuff to Listen to.

Comfortable Lyrics surrounded by semi-progressive instrumentation with a distinct vocal making this song hit a vein of heart felt inspiration to seek a higher plateau of not so common ground to the average listener.

fashinating "old" song

At the beginning the sound...is unused really dirty it looks like if the song was recorded by an old LP....very strange for the modern sound, in the extremely clean and in the loudness war...but is...so...warm...the perfect match with an easy and beautiful song, it reminds me a lot of past decades singles that makes fortune for a lot of bands. I guess that is a really beautiful piece...(even if not my genre)....this song gives a beautiful mood.

Chilling track...

Very chilling track. I like the harmony change breaking into the refrain and the flute fullfills its task repeating the intro part. Nice guitar solo afterwards. Good performance of all instruments to result as a chilling acoustic rock song which welcomes one to sing along. Production is a little weak, but good enough as a preproduction or demo. Mastering could solve the problem under circumstances. But the game goes one and you'll stay on track to keep rocking!

Drifting Back to the 70's...

I enjoyed this track... Takes me back to many great festivals and, live acoustic rock concerts of the 70's... Nice combination of sounds in the mix and, I wish I could make out the lyrics to it but, they just seemed sort of buried down in the mix so, I really don't know what the song is about but, it has a nice feel to it... Slightly longer than radio would like but, it's still a nice piece to listen to... You could trim off a half minute at the studio and, it might get some air play... Good luck with and, say hello to Dallas for me... Blessings, Doug

Nice Ambiance

My first impression was of a home recording live, the acoustic guitar started thin with too much high-end but then the drum, vocals and electric guitar started taking over and the Neil Young feel of the vocals started joining in. Then things got pretty nice from there, even the solo worked well in the song. Also liked the backing vocals. Wish I could have read the lyrics cause it was very hard to understand them, overall, nice ambiance and nice song..

I love this 70´s influenced song!

I love this tune very much, the song reminds me a lot about Barclay James Harvest kind of Music. Melancholic and with a big potential. The vocalse great and the arrangem as well. This is - to me - a song I would love hear live on concert. Very very 70´s infuenced and I look forward to hear more from John Wessel. Great!

Cool

This is a cool song I feel like I could hear being played in a commercial or part of a soundtrack for a movie. It also has this retro feel to it like it's part of older rock from the 70s. Overall its nice and easy on the ears.

A folksy feel to this piece, with a hint of 60's/70's to the vocal, somewhere between a surf sound and a rock and roll sound. A nice voice though, sang very well. A nicely written piece with a relaxing yet simple feel to it. As much as I like it, it's probably too long by about a full minute if you want airplay. Although the recording sounds homemade to a point, the mix is good and everything is played well. Nice, I liked it.
