Smooth Back Beat

Love the instrumental. The elegance of the rhodes over the top is sweet. Dont think that the high pitched voice works, its not clashing tho. The backbeat is mellow and smooth, nice smooth kick. The hi-hats and cymbal placement is nice too. Style is fluid and makes sense when you flow. All in all a great laid back beat to ride to. The sample of the high pitch is good just maybe try and sample a real girls voice. Nice touch with the horns, really rounded out the sound. Transitions need a little work but your on the right track. Sounds good. check out some of my tracks soundclick.com/naithescienceguy all original. Good Job

Nice intro. You catch my attention from the begining. You keep the the flow going. You also have a good hok. At first you don't seem to be talking about much but then I learn you are talking about killing pain by smoking. Good job.

Innovative and experimental!

This is rather daring in style and I admire someone trying to be commercial while being so different. Obviously the writer of this song has a lot to say. There can definitely be a market for this commercially, targeting the right audience. I think the "b" word is unnecessary as it is a word that destroys respect for women. However in this song it is obscure who this insult is aimed at. The listener of the song? This is confusing. Leave that out and maybe this song will appeal to a broader audience. The production and record quality are excellent.

To much agony

Nice track enjoyed it . The music could have been bigger to have more effect ...

Too Much Agony

The intro is way off the mark. Should have started it with straight vox, male or female (Female probably better) and maybe brought the helium in sparingly throughout the song. Overall it could be very listenable, but cut down on the high pitch stuff. I did find it a little depressing but I was also pleased that it didn't go into vulgarity. Well done.

Review

Vocal intro was pretty cool; a bit much on the helium effect. Rhyming is some very lame whit boy sounding dork rap; with unimaginative lyrics and rhyme schemes. The track sounds pretty hip; in the hip hop vein. Could have been something way better.

Too much agony..

Groovey! Like it all. Like the lyrics, like the voice of the person behind. Great music, nicely blended at least the part that I heard. :) I guess I like the song cos its mellow :) Good night club stuff! Congratulations.

Too Much Agony

I am not much into rap, but I really did like the rap part of the song. The production is good and it has a cool groove. But that high pitched voice throughout took away from the song. Just saying.

Not my genre of music but it sounds pretty good to me.

Too much Agony

The intro started kinda cool, then you throw in the rap, makes the song even cooler. Overall production is good. A nice song to jam to. It has radio potential. Great job.

Review of "TOO MUCH AGONY - JON HARTLESS" by Magdalene's Revival

Didn't understand the 'Pinky and Perky' intro and fill - ins? Would have sounded way better with some female vocals instead. The groove was good, the brass bends were effective, some nice touches and changes. The lyrics were ok and sung well, but the subject matter of 'collie weed' being the 'get out clause' from the hum - drum life on the streets ... leaves a lot to be desired! There's only one healer of all pains of life ... Jesus!

good work

"Too Much Agony"

Hmmm the intro was kind of strange. Once the rapping comes in, it has a nice groove. Over all I really like the beat. I just can't get into that high pitched voice throughout the song.
