Happy Feet
My feet, oh my happy, happy feet, they just can't stop tapping with the beat. Great feel good song, straight out of the gate and makes you want to sing along all the way to the end. Great production quality, and the gang vocals at the end, top it off like whip cream on pie. Love it. Reminds me a bit, of an Irish pub, sing along song. Great work.

A road best travelled
What a fabulous straight forward straight in opening to Jonny Jackman's wonderful tune freedom. It conjures thoughts of an early Neil diamond with the U2 sounding guitar licks and although Jonny says that he always walks a road less travelled, for me , I hope for him, it's the one best travelled LL Lawler

Freedom is all we ask for
Not bad. Good intro good verses rememorable chorus. The musical arrangement of guitar and banjo works and the ending rises nicely. Good production values had make the song easy to listen to. The song does start to drag a little bit just before the background singer's join in for the rising ending. I might shorten that part by two or three lines and then go into the ending

A Drivin' Song for the Road Less Traveled
Jonny Jackman's "Freedom" is a drivin' folk rock song, with a strong melody line and solid guitar hooks. The song works great as good time background music, but the lyrics are also worth a closer listen.

Country time
Has a nice guitar track on acoustic and electric guitar , nice melody and chourus, I like the slow down feel on the Bridge, I think the only thing I am glad you added the harmonies and backing voices good job.

My favourite tune (D)
The D chord is my favourite tune, and I know a lot of variations and all of them sound good, just as yours. I also like the celtic rock approach of your song. Just don't know whether I would have slowed down the speed that much in the middle. The drummer could have kept the pace with rimshots or similar, that wouldn't have created this kind of "hole". And at the end you could repeat the chorus once ore twice more, maybe with a harmony voice above your lead voice. But I like the song as such, and the subject of freedom is as valid and contemporary as can be. Well done, Jonny.

Happy vibes
Tunes like these always puts a smile on my face, and I am sure that's what Jonny had in mind with this track. The song sounds like freedom and happy vibes. I love the South African flavor and the choir at the end just sends this tune trough the roof..Cape Town has a very distinct sound when it comes to acoustic singer-songwriter compositions, and you nailed it. The vibe and the sound tells your story. Peace & tunes

Beautiful
Beautiful piece of music, really nice done. It's predictable, but just as it should be. Everything is in line in what a good song need. This kind of music is for the general public. In my view, this should become a lot further. I can not find any kind of critical issue to give you a good idea whats wrong. No! It's just there. It has color. drive and lust for life. Maybe a bit exaggerated, but you get what I mean. like I said, it's a beautiful piece of music.

Out in the open
Jonny Jackman brings us Freedom, an up beat road diddy that has a combination of Bob Dylan and John Denver combined with a touch of Creedence Clearwater Revival or early Bruce Springsteen kind of story telling to it. From a listener's perspective, this song has a lot of energy and dynamic tension to it. From a producer's perspective, the mix is a lot larger than most submissions. There is a great deal of stereo depth in this piece. I wish the back up vocals were more harmonic than fundamental but they are tasteful nonetheless.

Jonny Jackman - Freedon
Freedom is a wonderfully produced and structured song. It hits it's stride from the first bar with some fluid drumming, tasty guitar licks and a first class vocal delivery. Jonny is from Cape Town South Africa and you can hear his home environment in the chiming guitar sound and the chorus singalong replete with excellent backing vocals that comes at the conclusion of the song. The track put me in a fine mood from the very first listen. Ar 3.18 it is short and sweet but excellent nevertheless..

review of 'Freedom'
love this track, happy, summery, up and optimistic....great. Has undertones of Mumford & Sons with a country twist. The instruments are all played nicely with the right amount of control and not too much showboating, more emphasis on the music and not on the musician...how it should be. This should be a hit, as it goes on I can hear all sorts of influences but the sound is original enough to stand on it's own, not an easy feat! Voice is great, rock pop...sometimes sounding like the Goo Goo Dolls, sometimes like GreenDay...but the intro is definitely something between Bare Naked Ladies and Mumford & Sons....great job, great song, great performance, nicely mixed and recorded, nothing negative to say about this one!

Haunting amd Happy
A beautiful song, Freedom somehow grabs you with a toe tapping beat and smiling time melody, yet holds you with a haunting melody. Jackman effortlessly crafts a song that ensnares the listener immediately and holds you for the entirety. It doesn't drag, ends perfectly. The vocals are crisp and on point, and includes a storyteller quality not easily found in todays music. It is obvious Jackman is not one of the computer cookie cutter anyone can do this musicians, but a true artist who has put in the time, work, and effort to craft his art. Freedom makes the listener feel like Jackman picks up his acoustic and spontaneously tells the story of his life. Highly recommended. I didn't have to listen twice , but I did, and I did, and I did...

Jonny Jackman - "Freedom" - review by Bruno Vendling
Freedom is a really well and professionally played upbeat, joyful song. I didn't understand some parts of the song, but it is a one of those positive songs. The best part of the song is when it slowes down and the choir starts to sing. The only thing I have to criticise is that as far as melody is concerned, it maybe could have been a little more original. Everything is well played, everything fits perfectly, the vocal too, but I think it's one of those songs that you feel like you have heard it before. It's a good song, I only wish it was little bit more original.

I Found My Freedom
I found my freedom through the great, kick ass lyrics on your song. The vocals should be a little lower on the recording and maybe try doing some effects on the drums so that they sound more natural. Other than that, it is a great song. I really like it. As a matter of fact, I'm playing it for some friends.

Nice Song
This sounds pretty cool, it has a nice hook. I like the concept and the words" I always walk the road that's traveled" it has meaning that I personally can relate to. The bridge has a catchy melody but I couldn't make out what was being said though. The beat is almost country with a line dance feel to it and this song could be played at an event of any ethnic group. It's seems like a song everybody can be able to play for their loved ones or even children. These type of songs are very rare nowadays and need to be back on the up-rise in music of all genres. Jonny Jackman seems to be a people person and someone that is very easily approachable from the lyrical tone of this song.Great job on the format and delivery of the vocals and sounds very professionally written, performed and hopefully one day played on airwaves around the world. Keep up the great work and thanks for sending it to me. Leon B aka Te-Cha

"The Road Less Travelled....The Road That Leads to heaven starts inside of you!"
I love the lyrics and as soon as I heard the first few seconds of this song I wanted to download it to listen to it again. The instrumental is sound and inspires me to dance and sing along. The vocal talent of the lead and backup are high quality too calling to mind the unique sound of the voice of Neil Diamond. I look forward to seeking out more songs by this artist. Jonny is a lyricist of truth with a unique talent for gathering the people touching the heart strings with his words of truth.
