The Holidays are upon us! Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate and Happy Holidays and Merry a Christmas in advance Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Thankfully, reasonable folk are getting vaccinated and the pandemic numbers are trending down - for the most part - in the (expired link). And that means music venues are beginning to open back up and gigs are being booked. I’m fortunate in that I can perform Solo or with a band and have several musical outlets with which to perform. Looking forward to playing double bass tonight with a Bluegrass/Americana String band! Outdoors in perfect Spring weather at a winery. Keep those instruments in tune boys and girls!

Hey folks,
I'm trying to stay busy with music during this time of CoVid19. (Hoping the vaccination process goes quickly and smoothly!) Currently I'm busy with trying book gigs for the year 2021 - but this remains difficult due to the Pandemic as several venues are still closed or they simply aren't booking anything yet. Mainly I'm concentrating on outdoor venues for the Spring and Summer when shows can commence out of doors in a virus-safe zone. Other than that, I'm practicing guitar and trying to learn new material and re-learn old material AND attempting to write a new song or tune!

Playing music thru this pandemic can be difficult but rewarding all at the same time. Getting motivated to Practice is a challenge no doubt, but if you’re like me you took to it with vigor and energy after the first few days of sheltering in place. Getting gigs has also been challenging and next to impossible at some of your regular venues that have yet to reopen for live performances. However, outdoor patio gigs at wineries and breweries are to be had. Get out there and beat the bushes. Finally, a good old fashioned Picking on the Front Porch for your neighborhood can be most rewarding and Fun! Stay safe, and keep those instruments in tune! Ciao!

Outdoor gigs with proper social distancing is the way to go these days. I’ve lost over 25 gigs in the past four months due to the pandemic. But I have picked up several winery gigs and Other outdoor events performing solo. I won’t try to gather a band together for a gig as I don’t wanna put any of my bandmates at risk. Outdoor venue owners and Event Planner’s who utilize proper social distancing can hire me to perform at their events. Other than that, I’m staying home and trying to stay safe.

I was inspired a couple of months ago by all the folks in Italy who would step out onto the balcony - singing opera or perhaps playing an instrument... For all of their neighbors who would step out on their balconies and enjoy the music.
So the past several weeks I’ve been setting up a small PA system on my front porch and playing tunes for the neighborhood. It’s been really well received. My fellow neighbors will step out onto their front porch or set up a lawn chair in their front yard and give a listen. Everybody keeping social distance but continuing to enjoy life all the same.

Hello all,
I’ve been sequestered the past few days/weeks as I’m sure most of us are, trying to flatten the curve of the pandemic. Let’s all be smart about this and stay home as much as possible. While home, I’ve been wood shedding - as they say- and practicing more guitar, learning new songs. I haven’t composed anything new as yet, focusing more on trying to improve my chops on guitar and “relearn” some old classics I used to play back in the 70’s.
George Harrison and Beatles, Paul Simon, Stephen Stills, The Moody Blues, etc... really cool stuff - at least in my humble opinion.
