About Josh Sorber

Josh Sorber of Binghamton, NY developed an idea that changed the way he did music. The idea for this project came to him while finishing up his seminary degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. With a seemingly innate inclination for envisioning sounds for electronic music, Josh began creating the first Dream Hat tracks in his garage with the keyboard he received from his parents for Christmas 2011. This gift made it possible to create any sound and series of sounds through the use of this Keyboard. Within a few months Dream Hat was born.
The first shows consisted of actually using the tracks that he created on the Keyboard itself. By the summer 2012 the foundation for the first CD was being laid. After performing shows for the next few months between Lynchburg and Binghamton, the first CD EP entitled “The Different Side” was released by January, 2013.
Live shows typically consist of Josh playing bass, doing vocals, and queuing the tracks from the laptop with a live drummer. Moving to a full band for live performances has become a high priority for Dream Hat and will become a reality in the near future.
