I hope you're well and enjoying the cold weather so far. If you're in the midst of winter, like me, I hope you're warming up by eating tons of food and drinking lots of beer/wine/spirits/non-alcoholic drinks. And if you're in the midst of a warm, beautiful summer - then please don't remind me as I'm jealous.

Before I get into the email today, I wanted to start off with quick quote I recently saw.

Sometimes, I get really jealous of other musicians' success. There, I said it. I get jealous and I know it's petty, but I think that's normal.
When someone we know gets success and we don't, it's normal for us to get envious. So, I've made an effort to actually message the person I'm envious of, to say to them that I think they're doing a great job and I support them. One thing I've learnt so far, is that it's easy to be spiteful and jealous, but it's actually a lot harder to be happy for someone. It's not wether you get jealous, because we all do, but it's the way we react that defines our character. So I'm trying my hardest to be happy for everyone, because I know it'll make me feel happy in the end. I know It's hard, and it'll always be hard. But the worst we can do is try, right?

Yes, I know it has been a while. BUT, I come bearing gifts.

First and foremost - I released the music video for "Two Watches"! If some of you can remember, I sent out a call asking you all to be in the video. I had submissions back from you, and if you submitted - you can watch yourself over HERE: (expired link)

I've been so busy that I haven't even noticed it's got over 14,000 views. Some of you may know that my day job is teaching Rock and Pop music to elementary/primary schools. I drive to a different school everyday, and teach guitar, drums, singing and piano. It's very much a modern spin on "School of Rock". I love my job, it's also very exhausting and consuming. But seeing those kids play "Back in Black" by ACDC is something I'll never get tired of.

Anyway, the GIFT PART (Whooo!). In the spirit of Christmas, I'm giving you all a free song of mine. This one is unreleased and it's largely an instrumental track - featuring John Mayer. I took one of John Mayer's interviews off of YouTube, and composed something around it. It's very mellow, and makes for a perfect addition to any rainy day.

I'm planning a trip to America in August, 2020. I want to come on over and play some shows in the US, although I need your help!

I've never been to the United States before, and I wanted to send this email to ask if you want me to come play in your hometown! I'd love to meet you all and organise a gig, where we can chat, listen to music and talk about how much we love John Mayer (just me?).

A lot has happened in the last few months. I changed my name from Julian Graham to Julian Rosso (to reflect my Italian heritage and musical direction) and I've even released a new song called "Lavender"!
