Julie Curly is a four piece band from Montreal made out of three talented musicians (Gilbert Cantin, Jean-Yves Cardin, Robert Massé) that lived through the 60's & 70's. This "Fab Four" is female fronted by singer-songwriter Julie Curly. She may be a product of the 80's, but entered the world prematurely in Montreal while John Lennon was murdered in NYC. There is no doubt the connection to this fateful day and the determination she needed to survive has influenced her music. She tells her story in Can you imagine? (The Killing of John Lennon). The live music video of the song won prizes such as an Akademia Music Award (California) for best live performance and finished number one with more than 5000 views on the Beat100 (Britain) Music Video Charts in 2015. At the end of 2015, the band launch their first English radio single & music video, called Silk Stocking District under Rosner Management Services. In the fall of 2016, the band will release their first English EP, partially funded by FACTOR & Gouvernement of Canada. Called Flower Power Soul the pop/rock album pays tribute to the music and the spirit of the 60's & 70's. This new album is pretty different from their first 12 tracks album in French (Confessions, 2014), but pop sounds still stand as a way to express authentic feelings & storytelling.
