But if you drive forty-five minutes down I-95 and you’ll see signs for a town called Waterbury that is easily missed if you look too late. There you can feel the struggle and tribulations in the air and also in the gritty streets of Waterbury. In those very streets there is an undeniable talent, an MC named Jusmula.
The twenty-one year old self-proclaimed “King of Connecticut” is the front-runner for rappers in Connecticut and has his city, Waterbury, on lockdown. With the release of his third independent LP, It Can Happen Tomorrow, Jusmula has established himself as a true MC through his signature flow, hard hitting punch lines and concepts the average MC doesn’t even consider.
