About Just for S & G

Steve and Greg of Just for S and G is a duo that tries to bring a sense of fun to their music. They put the emphasis on playing what the audience wants to hear instead of playing off of a set list. Steve and Greg are Brothers-in-law who have been playing music together since 1986
Steve learned guitar while serving in the US Navy. After getting married in 1987 he and his new brother-in-law started jamming together every family outing(at times, much to their families dismay) After our children got old enough to pursue their own interests, We decided to take our music out of the basement/garage and see what we could do with it.
Greg, on the other hand, had tried his hand playing music with others before, and Steve had a hard time convincing him of trying this again. We started our duo in 2007 and have been steadily growing ever since.
They take requests and also invite anyone to sing or jam along with them while playing the songs we all know and love. At any time we may play any of our many instruments, including the harmonica, banjo, and mandolin--along with 6- and 12-string guitars. Of course they have their own sound system which is custom-made and allows them to play amplified as well as acoustically. Their song book features over 350 songs and is growing, and features the music of many different genres, including folk, rock, country, and blues. Seeing Just for S and G play in a bar is like seeing old friends take the stage.
