This some kind of Mexican tune. I had a solo in mind for the guitar. Something my father played on the accordion. I couldn't use it because it wasn'f mine. Of course Ove had a beautiful synth melody and some horses, people aruguing in spanish and the whip.

Artwork for the song. I was in a band in the 70's called Isak&Huliganerna (Isaac&The Hooligans). We plaed "Jag har Inga" and that's "I ain't got no". Janne the bearded guitarist found some pictures in his attic. The violinplayer? Yes that's Ove the other half of KaiOve Project. I'm the one with a blue t-shirt. Sören is the singer. Behind Sören is Kling on sax. The drummer Claes is hidden. There's research going on to find out when the photos were taken. Jannes says 75. I tend to 76-77.

We, Kai and Ove, are two friends and fellow musicians who have played together in different groups since the 1970s. Some years ago we decided to see what would happen if we skipped all musical rules and just went along with our inner emotional ideas, and embraced ”mistakes” in recordings as sacred signs - to be taken seriously. We still don’t know where this will lead us…

2 years gone and I thought I would record a lot of songs. But nothing happened until I started to share files with my old bandmate Ove. We call it the KaiOve Project.
Die Türen is one of the tunes. My goal is to play slower. Less is moore. But I have difficulties to kill my darlings. The collaboration with Ove makes me to think in new ways.
I want to hear new music and bands. Spoon has been around for nearly 30 yerars now and the are still one favorite band. Another favorite is Joel Silbersher (AU). Of the old ones Neu!, Harmonia and La Düsseldorf have influenced me. "My heart is a drum" a Swedish documentary about Klaus Dinger is wonderful.
So Ove and I continue to share files and make songs for the ant-hit lists.
Thank you all followers!
Best,
Kai

This is the rocord from Dec 2005! Manillo is a cover of a Man (Wales) song. I later called it Huvudet på kudden because I transalted it to swedish. You can hear it at (expired link) There are more demos there.
The latest things I've done can be found at (expired link) Two songs in English! The Hands of the Drowned, lyrics by Falah Alsuf poet and quota refugee from Iraq, now living in Sweden and The Buoy a project with my old friend Ove.
My newer things are very different from the old songs. First of all they are demos and there is no band so I play everything except KaiOve projects which are collaborations with my friend Ove Wahlqvist.
Prepare for something completely different.
Stay safe!

Hi,
at last I've started to work on a new song. As I wrote earlier it's compleatly different from my songs so far. It more like strange sounds with a drumbeat. The sound are coming from my guitar. I've started to experiment with parts going backwards. The lyrics are always difficult for my. This time I'm thinking of funny words in Finnish like krapula, niitykone, hevonen, traktori and so on. Most of you don't understand the lyrics anyway. i don't like to sing in English. I don't feel comfortable to do it. Even if people say that i'm good at speaking English. It's a slow process so you never know what's coming out and when.
Thank you for your support and nice words about my tunes!

This is Murmeldjur with Asfaltstiger. It's me to the left having problems with the mike stand. At the end there's a melodica joining in. We had no idea that he was turning up.

I have to admit that i haven't done too much about recording since last time. But I've made a live appearance with the band Asfaltstiger ( The Asphalt Tiger ) . My friend Ove wrote a book again and the band that doesn't exist in real life but has a part in the book had to play again. We played about 8 songs two of them were mine, Murmeldjur and Ensam. It was great fun. We had guest appearances. Some just joined in,
I think Ove is writing his third book now and it would surprise me if the band have to play again.
Ove has made a lot great songs one of them is "Blommig Blues" ( Flowery Blues ). To his birthday I made a really raw demo of that song. I can't publish it. It's not finished yet and I have to work on it again. So you never know.
I've got a Hammond organ for free ( not B3 ). My father plaled accordion and organ so it's kind of back to the roots. I've got 2 accordions but I can't play! In my first home recordings I used the bass pedals on the organ. Sorry to say I've lost the tape. But I'll try to recreate some of the songs. Thats the plan anyway. Thank you all who are supporting me!

Hi there again!
I noticed that I only have three songs here so I'm thinking of a demo which I have. It's a raw thing with me playing all the instruments and the vocals as well. It's the only recording where i play drums. I can't play drums! And I'm not going to try anymore. I got the drum kit for free from a school. They were going to throw it away! So I had to take care of it. But I have sold it now so no more drums for me.
I'm very sensitive about how drummers play. I know what I like. Terry Williams is the man, yes he played in the Welsh band MAN then Rockplie but most people know him for playing in Dire Straits. I've got a neighbor here in Malköping who's a drummer, Arnulf Ibsen, he's competing with TW as my favorite drummer. It*s a real joy to see and here him play! So the plan is to get him to do the drums to song for me.
The demo? It's called "Murmeldjur" (Groundhog). The car? It's a IFA F9 1954 made in Eastern Germany. Had it for 27 years.

Hi,
spring is here at last in Sweden after a long and cold winter. My guitars are staring at me and want to be hugged. As I wrote earlier I have some ideas but after a long time I'll have to start all over again with recording. But I've forgot how to twiddle the knobs! And my amplifier sounds bad. Must have something to do with my broken tremolo pedal. So i'm giving it a last try to mend it.
One of the songs I'm thinking of goes far back. It's about Song My. Yes I wrote a song about it. Must have been in the early 70'. You remember? The picture of a girl running with napalm on her back burning.
We'll see if I can remember how it went.
Best,
Kai

Hi,
Soon you can find "Stor" and "Böjda saker" on Spotify and Itunes! I'll let you know when they are uploaded.
These tunes were recorded 12 years ago. The drummer has recorded produced and mixed both songs. And yes he does some background singing but not on these. Perhaps I'll uppload more later. Anyway, nowadays he's a famous Swedish producer and songwriter with an international career. He goes by the name of (expired link). here. So you can try to figure out who it can be.

The show went well. Except for my tinnutus. I´ve got big problems high sounds and the show was at rather high volume. Of course I was wearing hearing protection. But it doesn´t help. There are some clips from the show but I don´t think they are of interest. I wasn´t my songs even if I like them. Anyway I got some inspiration to work on two new ideas. So I´ll let you know when I have some new songs out.
Best,
Kai
