Kali Ma is a 4 piece Instru-Metal band that resides in Seymour, Connecticut in the U.S.A. Starting off as acquaintances, we formed the band in 2006 based on similar interests in music and a desire to create music with direction, groove, melodic feel and aggression. Since then, we have grown as a family and have 3 releases with The Devil Knows You’re Dead! being our 3rd and most recent release. We choose to stay an instrumental band because we feel it helps to bridge the gap for people interested in listening to metal, but can’t get passed the aggressive vocal style that is normally associated with metal. We also want to keep the focus and emphasis solely on the musical aspect of the band as we feel it speaks well on its own and resonates with our fans and listeners. We have been honored to be nominated in the best metal band category 2 times for the Connecticut Music Awards and have gained recognition from exposure playing live as well as from our music videos. We are big fans of a wide variety of music in which we are inspired by and utilize to create the music we play. We are huge supporters of local music and the Connecticut music scene. Our goal as a band is to simply write music for others to enjoy and we want to share our music with as many people as possible in hopes that it makes peoples lives better. Our philosophy in Kali Ma is quite simple, we write music to convey the human emotion within people.
