About Kenekia

Kenekia's love for music started very early in her life. By the time she was able to walk she knew that dancing would be second nature to her as well as her love for song. As a teenager she would enter herself into the local talent shows in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Kenekia later found herself performing regularly at the former French Quarters nightclub expressing herself either by song or dance. In high school though a very quiet student everyone knew about her dancing abilities. Kenekia found that her peers and teachers would call upon her with the task of being on the dance team and choreographing most of the routines for Senior Class Day. However, her undying passion for music did not stop. A student at Alabama State University, she managed yet more shows around the campus of ASU. Kenekia has performed at ASU Homecoming event with then college classmate Suan aka "Delishious" of MTV's Flava of Love. Fate transferred her from ASU in Montgomery, Al, to Alabama A& M University in Huntsville, Al. From there she ventured out to other avenues of the music game. In 2004-2005 she worked for Clear Channal radio station(Power 93.3) a syndicated morning show with Doug Banks in the morning.
