The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. Kdub20 is one such artist that epitomises the essence of the modern era. He is a multi-talented vocalist and rapper from west end Atlanta Georgia. Kdub20 is making music that is driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.
Born Kenneth Smith, Kdub20 is the embodiment of originality and uses his experiences and musical acumen to create an amalgamated and original sound. After facing rejection and betrayal he eventually built his own studio and started releasing underground music. He spent time garnering support by rapping and performing at local clubs. He later founded Signature Smith collections a business entity that is also the title of his debut album.
Kdub20 has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influences and inspiration in his life to Twista, Bone Thugs N Harmony and Crucial Conflict. This all culminates in Kdub20 producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going but also authentic and grounded in reality and reflective of his Southern Style. It is music that is relatable to people and infused with energy to allow for an immersive experience in the tales and struggles that are overarching themes in Kdub20’s music and life.
