It's Too Late is one of the first Christian songs that I wrote. This song had many challenges for me. The song is somewhat like a funeral dirge using a bassoon sound for the music part. My first recording started with a heartbeat and a heart monitor beeping along with the heartbeat that slows down and comes to a stop. The heart monitor gives a continuous beep that drops to a low tone to signify going into hell, then the song begins. When the song ends, it ends with a discord to represent that this persons life ended on a discord. I wasn't sure of the words for the song, so I asked the Lord to show me, but I told Him I didn't want to go there. When the words came to me I didn't understand them, so the Lord revealed it to me. How can hell be cold and dark with flames of fire all around? When we die, we no longer have the physical body. Our bodies can feel hot and cold while we are alive. What we feel when we die and go to hell is a chill coming over us much like the chill we feel when we are scared.In this recent version I removed the heartbeat and added the laughing, screams and loud noises to make the song kind of creepy. I always feel as though I come up short on the real representation of what hell is really like. What I want is the listener to do everything they can to avoid ending up there. In other words..."Seek the Lord while He may be found".
