About Ken'Yaun

Kenneth Christian AKA Ken'yaun has been writing and rapping hip hop since he was fourteen years old. Kenneth was recognized by Frank Wilson; Charlie Wilson’s brother after performing at a talent show sponsored by KMEL in Oakland when he was 17 and he hasn’t stopped performing and creating his own music since. Kenneth founded Currency Kingz Entertainment in 2006 after consulting with former Oakland mayoral candidate Orlando Johnson. After reuniting with Donald Blanton AKA “Tex” a long-time friend and fellow rapper from Texas he is now in Collaboration with his label Killa Smoke Industries “KSI” with plans to work with and mentor new artists as they enter the music industry. In 2014 Kenneth signed and made partner “Jayna Blackwell” the First lady of Currency Kingz Entertainnment “CKE”, making her the label’s first RnB artist. Kenneth is the Lyrically creative backbone behind “CKE’s” artists dropping projects in 2015 and 2016 and he has also written Jayna’s hot new single “Coming Through Tonight” quickly climbing the Indie music charts as well other songs on her freshman album. Kenneth has well over 20 years of experience in the music industry working with artists such as Master P, D-Shot, B-Legit, E-40, San Quinn, Snoop Dog, Nasty Nate, Jay Rock, Isaiah from Toni Toni Toni, Turfk Talk, Calvin and Ray Fritz and, Beat maker Troy to name a few. In addition to running the label and managing the artists wherein, Kenneth has also made plans to drop his long awaited Album entitled “The 11th Hour” in 2016.
