About Kristine Rommel
A distinguished veteran of the United States Coast Guard for over two decades... seasoned singer/songwriter Kristine Rommel wears her uniform proudly by singing the National Anthem when called upon. Her superior vocal representation is respected and that's why she is known as the choice for the National Anthem.
Recently, Kristine was noted by Rolling Stone Magazine as performing a “stirring rendition” of the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden when she opened up the 7th Annual Stand Up For Heroes Benefit Concert where she also performed with Roger Waters as part of the Roger Waters Band. In honor of Military Appreciation Day she sang at Citifield for the Mets vs Braves game and at Madison Square Garden and for the NY Knicks organization. She roused the crowd at the Prudential in Newark, NJ when she opened up the IBF International Heavyweight Championship which was a featured HBO Pay Per View event. Rommel sang with intense vigor to thousands of spectators at Bryant Park in NYC for EA Sports Madden- NFL 12: Pigskin Pro-Am which aired on NBC-TV. She gladly accepted Mayor Bloomberg various invitations to perform at Gracie Mansion for the annual Fleet Week Mayoral Welcome. Kristine sang for over 101,000 spectators at the opening ceremonies for NASCAR on several occasions airing LIVE.
To watch Ms. Rommel perform is like witnessing a pure white dove proudly flying up and into the sky. She represents her country as well as women in the military and is now ready to soar!
Rommel recently wrote and recorded "Death is my Curse" a song based off the novel 'The Cursed Man' authored by Keith Rommel and an upcoming major motion picture in 2015. The song is available on iTunes and official video on You Tube.
In addition, her self-titled debut EP produced by 3 time award winning Producer David Botrill features 2 original songs and showcases her amazing range. Ms. Rommel is a fiery singer with a huge voice and an even bigger heart. Her effortless yet exhilarating musicianship is evident on her debut single, "The Storm". Years of vocal training and hard work have enabled Kristine to write songs that reveal her ability to tackle highly emotional subject matter. Kristine says, When I was younger poetry was my outlet and because of that I've been able to document my life.
Kristine adds, my debut song "The Storm" was part of that. I wrote "The Storm" for a friend who had a heroin addition. It was deeply painful for me because my mother also struggled with addiction. When she died in 2010 the pain and loss I felt drove me to rewrite the song.
"Waiting For You" was another poem I wrote as a teenager who felt abandoned by the person I counted on the most at a turning point of my life. Being in the military for over 20 years now, I relate that feeling to our soldiers who count on someone waiting for them while they're serving our country.
Rommel has a bright future as an artist and performer. Her distinctive voice and musical style are rare in an over saturated market of mediocrity. Rommel stands outside the herd and deserves to be heard!
Her self-titled debut EP is available digitally on iTunes and Amazon.
