1867年、7月7日。日本橋にある城で車剣の晩餐会が行われた。歌手の憂希、弦楽器の夏妃と眞倫。そして指揮官の垪嗚矑。新しい音を 組み合わせた彼らが一体どんな演奏を聴かせてくれるのか、民衆は楽しみにしていた。そして、幕が上がり奇妙な姿で車剣が現れた。だが、憂希の美しい声。 この世の人ではない美しさ。そして軽やかに揺れる夏妃 の髪と、弓を使いその手さばきは絶妙に心地よい。そして眞倫の吸い込まれそうな音色と、鋭い目 が女民衆の心を奪う。指揮官の垪嗚矑が密かに幕の奥で隠れている。その姿は、極秘だった。ただ、見えたのは黒目だけだった。
