JULY 2020 KWIN NEWSLETTER
Hi everyone. Things are very busy here. Lots of news and the latest is this. Yesterday morning a friend and bass player dropped by and officially joined KWIN so now we are five again. I have known Tom ( Mud) Arney for many years and played music with him many times. All five of us sing. Dean Carr is back. Dean is the singer on the two jam edits. He comes from just outside London England. Photos and announcements will soon be out. On the webcasting, web cams won't do because it is a big stage and deep so we are using new SONY video cameras. I am no good on tech stuff and have had to delegate all that. Our keyboard player, Dieter is also our tech guy and he tells me remote participation like the news shows use should work well. We are using new SONY video cameras with interfaces for video and sound, that's why it is webcasting not podcasting. I am told it will be 720 P at less than 10 MPS, broadcast quality. Live shows with other acts as well as KWIN. I am overdue on a news letter to subscribers and am tired and hate typing with one finger so will probably copy and paste some of this. Tom and all five of us will be here Friday, (tomorrow) for rehearsal. On the analogue recording our OTARI MX5050 8 track, it has been overhauled by Teletech in Toronto and they sell brand new tape (reels) which are only made in France these days.
