About Kyla Mainous

Kyla Mainous has always loved music. At the age of 5, Kyla had her first solo performance in front of an audience of more than one hundred patrons. Even before that, she was always singing. Her parents realized Kyla had a talent, and encouraged her to sing every chance she got. She began writing lyrics at a young age as well, even though she didn't pick up an instrument until she was almost thirteen. Kyla was gifted a guitar for Christmas that year, and she taught herself to play. She put the lyrics she had been writing for so long to the songs she'd write on her guitar, and began playing in bars by the time she was fifteen.

Now almost twenty four, Kyla has made quite a name for herself throughout Cincinnati. She has won several vocal competitions, as well as put out an EP in 2011 and her first full length CD early in 2015 (both recorded and produced at One Louder Studio). She is a Miami University graduate with a degree in Creative Writing, who is hoping to make music her full time career. She has auditioned for shows like "The Voice" and continues to pursue her dream. Kyla is in the process of writing her second full length album.
