About Ladii Girl
Johanna Hampton (Ladii Girl) was born in Boston, Ma. on, October 14,1977. Born into a musical family she always had music in her blood. She grew up listening to her mother’s band play, and her uncle Harold Hampton taught her how to play simple notes on a keyboard. Throughout her life Ladii Girl has sang in the church choir at the AME Baptist church in Worcester, Ma., where she was raised. In high school she sang in the all city choir. She has been writing poems and songs since elementary school. She also spent many nights creating music in the basement with her brothers, often listening to their mothers old Stylistics, and Delfonics albums. These days Ladii Girl still enjoys writing music and creating, she has written many songs such as “Where Did The Love Go”, “Shorty Rock”, and “Hydraulics” ft. Josh Brown of TDM. She has spent time in 2013-2014 performing at various venues throughout Massachusetts, such as The Dublin House located in Boston, Ma., and Pufferbellies located in Hyannis, Ma. She has also graced the stages in her hometown of Worcester, Ma. in venues like The Lucky Dog Music Hall, Club Oasis, and is a crowd favorite at the Raven. Ladii Girl has plans to branch out to places like Connecticut, and Georgia in 2015. Ladii Girl has ambitions on bringing her music global. She has branched out to a few artists in the UK and has been met with very warm responses.
