Wining a radio contest with friend James Hilliard of Chicago IL, at radio station ((expired link) - 1450 ) am radio in 1968 they had received a verbal musical contract for 2 years with his group, THe Explanation's managed by Chicago's own Jerry'O and his cousin (expired link) Moore both out of the West side of Chicago IL. Detroit recording artist .Jerry 'O whom had a local hit recording at the time with The Funk Brother's of Motown called (Karate Boogaloo) his real name was Jerry Murray when on to start his recording label (Boogaloo Records) based on Chicago's West side alone with his cousin Willie Moore of Chicago IL ..As the years rolled on for Larry Dixon he when on to record with a new group called The Soulful Spades.

Larry Dixon when on to record with the Soulful Spades in 1970.. Larry Dixon has now moved up & on to record his best ever music lasting in time by adding - (Funk) more of his style (R & B SouL) alone with his (Jazz / POP) sound & (POP/Gospel) as well. Yes he has come a long way to do more & now making of his 4 style set CD'S of all area's of his soul. Larry Dixon is a man of his time & more.
