Her melodic voice is unique in its wide appeal to young and mature listeners alike. Laura's music style combines aspects of Blues, Rhythm & Blues and Rock and Roll. Her Live shows include spectacular vocal along with rhythmic dancing which often culminates in a thunderous audience response for the petite, attractive performer.
Lady Laura is from Roosevelt, New York. Her singing career began in the church and later branched out to local clubs. Her love for singing the blues is her life - she emotes and sings straight from her heart. Laura is a natural born entertainer. She believes in doing everything to the best of her ability. If it's worth doing at all, it's worth doing well.
The multi-talented Laura has won numerous awards for dancing, martial arts (black belt), and hair shows. In addition to all of her other accomplishments, she was cast in a major role of the movie "Statistics" where she played Vera, a bodyguard for a drug dealer. She was also cast in "Scramblin" where she played an undercover detective in addition to being cast as an extra in "A Piece Of My Dream", (All were independent movie productions).
Appearances were made on a variety of cable networks such as "News 12", "QPTV", "Black African News Show" and "Make It Happen", just to name a few. She appeared at The Famous Ashford & Simpson Sugar Bar, The Village Underground and performed several times in Japan, Europe etc. She appeared in a commercial for Al Sharia Protective Services as well where she demonstrated self-defense techniques on her would be attackers. Her performance was so widely received that the commercial ran for over one year.
