Introducing..."LaMarr" & his group..PRAISE !. LaMarr comes from a family of Gospel musicians, singers & Pastors. His family of aunts & uncles had a group called : The Turner Singers. His Mother, the late Minister of Music, (expired link). Turner formed a Radio Chorus at age 15 after her mother refused to let her join the World Famous Caravans who wanted to recruit her. This choir sang for 46 years travelling all over the (expired link).. His mother, had it in her heart to train & develop "LaMArr" to be the main musician for her choir. He got his 1st lead part, played for the choir and represented them when they didn't feel like going to engagements around the city. He received classical piano training at age 4 for 11 years, while singing Gospel. His father, a pastor, loved jazz, his mother loved Gospel & country music. LaMarr began writing songs while in elementary school. He was heavily influenced by: Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, The Winans & his favorite the Legendary Rev. John P. Kee. His debut EP entitled: "Restoration 2017" presents 2 explosive songs with hard-hitting messages. LaMarr is a Pastor who spent time in some very interesting careers before arriving as a recording artist. He spent 36 years in Law Enforcement, 30 years in Sales, has been an Executive Producer of his own weekly talk show, and has written an Auto-biography entitled: 'The Other Pulpit / Life Lessons of a Leader".
