Hope this is finding you well. Finally completed another song for your listening pleasure. My thoughts on bit our this. Have you by chance seen that movie "The School of Rock" with actor Jack Black ? There is a scene in the classroom where Jack is teaching a young guitarist struggling with an original song lyric, "The single most important rule of a good rock song lyric is ; Sticking it to the Man" , "The Man" being anyone who is giving you an unfair deal or a hard time. I found that terribly amusing and yet legitimate advice. I employed that advice in, Don't Wanna Be Like the Rich Man. It isn't an AC/DC style tune like movie music , I have to find my sound on my own as we all must. You can make up your own mind as to who the Rich Man is. The song is a ballad at it's core but I did all I could to keep it rolling . I hope it's subject matter can be a conversation starter. I personally am not convinced monetary gain at any cost an ideal path for our future or an ultimate objective for ones life. It is as with many things, a Perceived Value.
