Aloha ~ Pray you are well and having a lovely day! Hey, just wanted to say thank you & give you a warm hug thru time & space for your flood of kind & supportive messages! My heart is grateful and it is so wonder~full to me that my music resonates with you ~ it really is a priceless gift that makes my soul happy in a way that words cannot describe. I mean, we create these songs out of love, out of pain, out of beauty, out of joy, out of all the stuff of life, and then we just put them out into the Universe in the hopes that they touch someone who is listening, and when it does ~ it is a beautiful connection ~ so thank you thank you thank you for your encouragement & aloha! It means the world to me. In the next few days, I'm going to get back to everyone personally and will also be posting some more songs in gratitude. Most of the songs I have here now are my acoustic love~songs from my first two albums ~ Homegrown & Kehaulani & Kealohamana, so I may add one or two more from these albums, but I also recorded an instrumental album, called Sweet Gold, basically because I wanted to experiment & to hear what my soul sounded like without words, and without my ukulele or guitar, haha...so I will be including some tracks from that album here as well! The songs from the Sweet Gold album are more for moving the body to dance, haha, so hope you enjoy. As one of my favorite writers of all time, Alice Walker says, "hard times require furious dancing." ;) The instrumental and global/world beats are definitely inspired by my love for soul, gospel, and world music, and are fueled by my journeys around the world, to places like Cuba, Kwazulu~Natal, Africa, and Corea, and the incredible sounds of drums and instruments that I heard in those beautiful places.
