Great Hook!
Loved this song! Thunder road meets Jason Aldean. I waited for the hook anxiously every time it came around. Awesome song, great sounding recording! This could be a hit if it gets a shot to go prime time.

Larry Kills it
Another awesome job by Larry on this Tracy Byrd tune. Its one thing to cover a song and something else to make it your own. Larry does the latter with this song. Good job by all involved with this one.

Solid Cowboy Song
Finally a well crafted song with a solid story and song structure and a professional recording with broadcast quality. That's cool and works well. Probably not that kind of stuff for todays Billboard Charts but I really enjoyed listening. Keep on!

Nice intro!
This song grabs you from the first note and the tale of the rodeo star that didn't win is a good one. Great title, it got a little preachy in the start of the chorus, always better to show not tell. Specifically, when he says he's "making money for his wife and kids" and that he tried "other kinds of work" Showing examples instead of a generalization would have been stronger lyrically. Good job but those are my thoughts if you want to get this to the pro level! Keep at it and keep the faith! :)

No Ordinary Man
Hi Larry. Great start with a whole bunch of bass. That's about what I would feel like if I had to climb on one of those critters. lol Great flow of lyrics; rhyme, meter, relevancy Nice tie of the "no ordinary man" to the husband and father who is diligent in the responsibility to his family. In my mind, there are a whole bunch of "behind the scene" pictures that are conjured up by listening to this song. Definitely keep it up as the inspiration flows my friend. Blessings, Trev

No ordinary song
I had a friend who used to ride bulls at Steiner Ranch outside of Austin. He was a cowboy and he was no ordinary man. They're just people who walk to the beat of a different drummer and thirst for that life. Larry Cann is that kind of man. No one really knows how it happens, they're just born that way. This is a remake of a song that was a hit for Tracy Byrd in the early 90's and Larry and the boys have really done it justice. It has that classic sound with the fiddles, guitars, and pedal steel all following the melody line during the chorus line while Larry's classic country vocals ring out on top of the ensemble. He makes the song his own putting his signature sound on what is a modern country classic and a true blue tribute to the men who have the guts to put their lives on the line for eight seconds riding over a ton of Texas T-Bone. This is no ordinary song and he is no ordinary man.

You Done Did it Again
Larry, I must say you never cease to amaze me with your God given talent. This song, is the first time I heard this. In all honesty I never heard Tracy Byrd sing this song when he put it out. I must have been blinded sided with my girl. Anyway the way you just step right into to this song makes me feel the ride. The words tell the story, Cowboy ain't no ordinary man. I love the way all the instruments just flow together and the fiddle I love it, Great job Songedge

A SINGER WITH A COWBOY'S HEART
Rodeo cowboys are tough! They have to be. No Ordinary Man is a great song. I really like songs that tell a story and this one rocks as one of the best I"ve heard. It's upbeat, professional and keeps your toes tapping. One of my all-time favourite old cowboys who had a way of telling a story and writing great songs was Ian Tyson. An old rodeo cowboy from way back. I was happy to review this song because I do like country rodeo music. Give it a listen and if you like it, do your own review and/or make it one of your favourites. I gave a listen to some other of Larry's songs and another of my favourites is Rodeo Moon.

review of No Ordinary Man
Great instrumental start of a great cover on an old story telling song about a cowboy's life as a bull rider, and the vocals are right on time and hints of the hard life of a man that is out making money for his wife and kids, the instruments don't miss a beat in this great cover of this old song. I recommend you take a listen Mr. Cann does a fine job on this cover. The blend is great enjoy yourselves with this one.
