Greetings - Summer is on the way. When I wrote the song "Follow the Sun", it was winter and snowed in - all I could think of was - heading somewhere the weather is warm.. I let my mind wander.. just exploring.. here are some of the words: "Go west young man it's intoxicating when Pancho's band fills the air at night. Stop shoveling snow your times a wasting, in Mexico they're watching bullfights. Pack your bags, catch that plane, follow the sun and be reborn." the song took on a latin beat.. and my good friend Whit added some great instruments to liven up the music. until next time.. keep enjoying the music.

Greeting - the US has been cold! I hate sad songs but when I wrote "Cold Day Tomorrow" a loss was starting to come out in my song writing.. I'm glad I experienced that part of life as I can now say, I feel better prepared to face each new day and thankful for the blessings I have... A few of the words from the song: How can I see, your love for me is just a memory. When in my mind, we're doing fine and you're still here with me. Where your love will never die but always be. The photo attached is where I lived the first part of my life.. in KY before moving to Cincinnati. I loved it as a kid. There are a lifetime of stories in this one photo. Greetings again - When the words and music to a song just make sense and the tempo, style, vocal and band all really do come together, it really is magic.. and a satisfaction as a singer song-writer, from taking a song from inspiration to recorded When I wrote "It's Magic" I knew it was a rocking song.. can't listen without a tap on your toes..... here's a few words from It's Magic: "Every once in awhile, it's magic. The kind that makes you wanna smile, it's magic. I see you walking or hear you talkin, it comes right over me, loves mystery, I feel magic - when you get close to me".
Since my last update, I have been working with a great musician to rewrite some songs I wrote a few years back that were never on an album but well liked.. we are still in progress mode but hope get something recorded that is great... until then hope all the music is magic. until the next time.

Greetings .. sometimes when I read the words I've written it gives me pause.. some lyrics are first rate.. others not so good. and sometimes they just are..
