born and raised in Alabama, Larry hicks is the second child of his music filled (expired link) was born may 24 1978 to a Sandra and Larry hicks. his father and uncle had their own band as also did their father Paul hicks. Larry (aka) priest begin doing music at the age of . he use to watch as his father rehearsed with his band and learned to play drums and keyboard. he begin to sing at the age of 15 when he notice he could carry a note. at 17 he and his friends Willie meadows, Lerindy Thomas and Tommy Davidson put together a band. even thou it was amatuer music the beginning of his music career was starting. they had on song that played on the radio by the name of tender rain for a few weeks strong. after a while the group begin to go their own ways and do their own type of music. Larry (aka) priest begin to take on rap and hip hop. he stayed with it for a while having record song with other up and coming rappers, doing hooks on their (expired link) a while he started noticing that he wasn't getting anywhere with the type of music he was doing and he was feeling empty in doing it. for a while he had stopped doing music and begin to seek god. even in his sinful lifestyle he was determined to beat the odds. god was calling him to do something more and something greater. give his people a message to help lead them to him. that's how Larry received the name priest. from that moment until now he has been writing and promoting gospel r&b and (expired link) free to join me and leave comments. the music isn't for money, but for the glory of god. i want to promote salvation.
