Hello, Lavender & Red here, and we think it's time to get real. Lavender & Red has been producing music and making it available to you and your world for 2 amazing years. There is nothing (absolutely nothing) we love more than making music, making an impact and making friends. But the fact of the matter is, in the 2 years Lavender & Red has been at it, we've poured nearly 500% more into our Initiative than we've gotten back. That's right. In 2 years, we've paid out almost $8000 to copyright offices, radio stations, membership programs and our CD printers/distributors and we have made an exact total of $13.71 back. Our Initiative means the world to us and we aren't going to stop fighting for it. But the fact of the matter is, two people can't survive on $13.71 a year. And the more time we have to devote to our many other jobs, the less time we give to you, making music and changing the world. We know you care. We hear from dozens of fans every day about how our music has touched, changed or inspired them. We don't want that to stop, ever. So we're leveling with you. We need your help... There are three ways you can help us: 1. Buy a song. - Just one! Lavender & Red has a "Music Matters" policy, which means we will never charge you more than $1.50 for a song. That is one quarter of what you pay for coffee every day. 2. Buy an album. - We have 200 sitting on our living room floor! You'll never pay more than $12.00 for a Lavender & Red album. Think about it, that's half of what you paid for you last album. 3. Listen on Spotify - Lavender & Red has been active on Spotify for about a year and in that time, we've have only 20 streams. By all means, keep listening on NumberOne, Soundcloud, Youtube, Jango and Reverbnation. But you should know that we pay out of pocket for your ability to listen on most of these sites and we don't get paid for you listens anywhere but Spotify. Everyone wants to make it in the world doing what they love. We want to make the world a place where people do everything in love. And we can't do that on $13.71 a year.
