Compelling Uplifting Love Song

Ok, it's a bit edgy for the style, but I enjoyed this heartfelt love song. It seems to be going in a contemporary Christian direction, then it turns left. SO instead it's effective as a romantic song. The production leans nicely into country with a very nice combination of rhythm section and pedal steel. Vocals are nice. If I was to improve upon it- I would suggest a small mix change to make the vocal sit better in the mix for radio. Mastering will be affected by this too, but the vocal sounds nice, just mix could be tighter for the next level. I am looking forward to hearing more from this talented singer and songwriter.

country feel

dreamy intro, country feel, nice drum snare sound, good band, i think the song is too cheesy for me, but pleasant , guys got a nice voice but i think the lyrics could be stronger, needs more work on the lyrics and it would be good song good tune and structure

Stand up and put your hands in the air...

Lawrence Miller brings us Lift You Up To Heaven, a christian country song. I have known several christian music artists in my day and I can tell you that the one thing they all have in common regardless of their particular genre within christian music is that they all have superior production in their music. For country enthusiasts, this is an original song and not a cover of the Reba McEntire tune from 1980. From a producers point of view I am finding it very difficult not to give this 5 stars straight up... but the break towards the end was a tad awkward and the over all mix as broad and deep as it is, is also compressed to an almost painful level at high volume. For those minute failings I take off 4/10s of a point. A fine effort to be sure!

Lift you up to Heaven

Nice country sound there. There were a few places where the instrumentals overpowered your vocal. Especially when you hit those very nice high notes. A little adjustment in the final mix would easily take care of that. I would love to hear your Christian/Country songs. As far as the instrumental portion of this song, the lead guitar is right on. Is that you playing? Again , put up your Christian/Country songs for us to review. THANKS!

Lift you up to Heaven

I really enjoyed this song. Right off the start, it had a great country sound. Then, the vocals began and got stronger as the song progressed. I liked the raspiness of the vocals. The lyrics were very good. The lead singer would make a good studio artist for some of my songs. Very nice job.

surprise surprise surprise

Wow. This was a pleasant surprise. I listened to a lot of tunes today before I could find one I liked. It has a nice beat and the vocals are different--in a good way. I quite honestly would consider singing this tune myself. I enjoyed the writing as well. As I stated earlier, there are a lot of songs on this "network" that I cannot comment on without writing a negatively slanted review. Mr. Miller...you did a great job. I encourage you to continue your music. Hopefully, the future is a bright one for you!

Lift You up to Heaven

This is one of the best written and produced songs that I have heard in a while. the intro sets one mood for the song then the vocals with acoustic guitar start the building process with a different mood. Then builds with full band and the songs takes on another feel. Thank you for sharing it and I look forward to hearing more. Got to say that being able to hear vocals and understand them is very rare these days.

Lift You Up To Heaven

I have listened to this song more than once and I still come away with what does the title and hook line mean? "Lift You Up To Heaven", since no one's dying here it obviously has to mean some sort of mental state to be derived from a new relationship. I hope I got that right. The song and tracks are commercial and well done notwithstanding a little slow start with the vocal. Soon enough however it gets kicked into gear and takes of at a toe tapping pace. The mix is bright and the vocals are clear for the ear to understand. The song melody is a fairly standard country theme as is the lyrics. It's a song that will work well in concert or as a dance hall number. I think it may take a couple of listens to get the groove working for some but give it a chance and it will arrive. Nice job by the writer, vocalist, musicians and producer whoever they may be. Of Course We know that Lawrence Miller was involved even if we don't know how many hats he wore for this number. Nice work Lawrence. I hope it goes well for this presentation.

Very Nice Job

I really liked this recording. I think the song was written very well and the recording was a good quality. The only bad point's that I can really mention is it seems to me there's a little too much going on, or too busy when it goes into the chorus, and also the highs in the mix are a little too high. It nearly makes it sound like there's going to be, or is a slight amount of feedback. Other than thatit's really a very nice job. I enjoyed the song.

Lift You Up to Heaven

Lift up to heaven, sounds great right from the start. Nice intro, great music, awesome vocals. The length of the song is appropriate for radio airplay. I don't think anything else can be added to make the song better. Best of luck, Guy

Up up and away!

This song has great production. It has a great arrangement and plot. The singers voice has a wonderful timber to it. I believe that Lawrence believes what he's singing. Very well done fellow Canadian!

Good sound, caught me in the beginning. Lost me when you hit the pre chorus...I think its the note that made me stop. I listened to the whole thing, good lyrics, needs just a little production to put it over the top

Great Country Sound

Great song.....Ban is "tight" and they play very well. Nice harmonies happening here too. As with any great country song, this tells a great story. Lead vocal are great. I personally like the light and shade used in the song. Great stuff. look forward to hearing more from this artist.
