Gabi Freitag's Memories is a beautiful atmospheric piece. The instrumentation is reminiscent of a slightly more modern lighter Pentangle, sprinkled with harp, tasteful acoustic guitar and bass. And Freitag's vocals breathe. Memories is a pleasant song that will waken in fans of the genre an interest to hear more of the music of Gabi Freitag.

The guitar and the accompaniment at the intro is spot on. Gabi Freitag's vocals have a subtle, Celtic character and really make the track come alive for me. Overall the music is well produced and mixed, although I did find the strummed guitar which comes in a couple of times just a little loud in the mix. All in all a pleasant song which I would be happy to recommend.

I really like the way this song sounds. It's ethereal and heady. And like the title of the review suggests, the singer's voice sounds very similar to the lead singer of the Cranberries. Very good voice, pleasant to listen to. I also like the way the guitar remained picking throughout the song. If I were to critique anything about the song, I think it would be a lack of direction/build. Of course, that is also part of its appeal - the meandering feeling. So that's probably no more than just personal taste. Good work. Keep it up!

I like this song. The instrumentation sounds really familiar. The words are less inspired than the music and I think you'd have a hit if you came up with some better prose for the music. I am one of those people who listens to every aspect of a song and only do reviews when I like a song enough to comment on it. Almost everything about this song is something I'd have on my roster to listen to so I humbly request you make the poetry of the song as strong as the instrumentation and vocal melody are. I know most people don't listen to the words but those words are taken in by the mind, nonetheless and with as good a melody as you have here, you have an opportunity to say something that will make a positive effect in the world. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent steel guitar recording. A very nice song from this project, it builds a landscape sound with guitar arps in a acoustic mood ind the first half, followed with a tribal drum tom in the second one. The voice is in a dreamy, worm at the beginning, maybe not enough expressive when drums begins. A little bit echo/delay on voice track would be a deeper sound sensation, maybe... :-)
