“Awesome guitar lick in the beginning. This song goes back to old-school rock-n-roll. I love the energy of the song and the beat was easy to jam to. This song rocked. Lee Williams, a Washington, (expired link). native, was playing both the guitar and drums proficiently by the age of ten. He played primarily drums in many local rock- n -roll bands throughout high school, during the mid seventies. Later in the early eighties, he performed professionally as the lead vocalist for the band, “Joint Effort” in the Washington /Baltimore area, during which he shared the stage with some of classic rocks favorites, such as Rare Earth and Steppenwolf.
Later after migrating to the San Francisco Bay in the early nineties, he turned his attention to jazz guitar and studied intensely for about 16 years. Studying under the highly acclaimed Mimi Fox and the amazing Jimmy Bruno, among others.
Today, Lee maintains a professionally-appointed analog recording studio in his home in Antioch, CA, called “Horseshoe Studio,” where “Long Road” was recorded and mixed. A year in the making, Lee has referred to Long Road as “labor of love.” Long Road presents eight legitimate original, straight ahead rock favorites. With a sound compared to the “Rolling Stones,“ and “Humble Pie.” Lee wrote all the music, played all the instruments, did all the vocals. He also did the
