João Carneiro
João was born on November 13, 1992 in Santo Tirso. He started playing bass at the age of 16 and he took part to several garage bands competitions. In 2011, together with Ricardo Carvalho, he founded the band Opium, a project that lasted 4 years. João joined Living Tales as bass player in April 2017. His music preferences include symphonic metal, progressive metalcore and nu metal.

Paulo Silva
Paulo was born on April 7, 1993 in Vila Nova de Gaia. At the age of 6, he started his journey in music by joining the choir group ‘Clavezinhas de Sol’. Later, he began his keyboard career by attending a music school and the ‘Maia Conservatory of Music’. Paulo joined Living Tales as keyboardist in September 2018. He is also founder of other two ongoing projects: ‘Ouve Cidade’ and ‘Criador’, which reflects his eclectic music taste.

Ricardo Carvalho
Born on October 11, 1983 Ricardo started to play the drums at the age of 17 in a small garage band. In 2003, he founded the band Innerless, a project that lasted till 2010. In 2011, together with João Carneiro, he founded the band Opium where he was a guitarist for 4 years. Ricardo joined Living Tales as second guitarist in September 2018. In July 2019, he became the new drummer. His music preferences include progressive metal/rock, metalcore and symphonic metal.

Portuguese progressive & symphonic metal band Living Tales got together in 2007. Guitarist Luis Oliveira and drummer Pedro Barbosa involved bassist Cristiano Ferreira for the new project. After some months of composing, they recruited the keyboardist Paulo Oliveira and Filipa Coelho as the band’s vocalist. Since 2008, Living Tales performed on national stages on several concerts and made their official debut in 2012 with the album Delusional Mind, from which the single Madness is extracted. At the end of 2015, the lineup started to change as Filipa Coelho decided to leave the band due to professional reasons. In 2016, the Italian Silvia Bellora joined the band as the new vocalist. In 2017, also the bassist Cristiano Ferreira left the band and João Carneiro was recruited right after. After the decision of the keyboardist Paulo Oliveira to also leave the band due to professional reasons, in 2018 two new members joined the band: Ricardo Carvalho at the rhythm guitar and Paulo Silva at the keyboards. In 2019, Ricardo Carvalho became the new drummer due to the leave of Pedro Barbosa.
Living Tales new album ‘Mirror’ will be released in March 2020. The band is actually performing on national stages and composing songs, seeking for a unique sound that follows the evolution of the contemporary progressive and symphonic metal music scene.
