About Luciana
Sensually Breathtaking, Seductively Captivating, it is known that Luciana has the assurance of a star.....
Luciana continues to prove she is an entertainer of immeasurable talent, from singe/ songwriter to actress and screenplay writer as well as a self-published author. Luciana meaning Light; Embodies what it truly means to Entertain.
Born February 6 in Chicago IL. Luciana since birth has always wanted to be an entertainer. Her love for entertainment began in 1984 at the age of 8 when she went on a school field trip to see "The Nut Cracker". That production ignited a never-ending love of the stage.
Unlike other young soulful singers, Luciana's vocals weren't birthed in a church. The singer/songwriter was raised around "Jehovah's Witnesses" (her grandmother and aunt are witnesses). So trying to embrace her love for the arts was somewhat difficult. She was unable to participate in school productions due to restrictions regarding her grandmother's faith. But Luciana did have a breakout moment, during her Junior year in high school when she was cast in a co-starring role of her local high school production called (expired link) (a Car A Driver and A Bottle) it was at that moment Luciana knew she was destained for the stage.
In the fall of 1999, Luciana left Chicago and moved to Rockford IL. Where she worked on her craft becoming a backup singer for a local band touring some cities and states. By 2002 Luciana started a solo career releasing an independent album Open Mic Night which generated local recognition that won her 2003s Rockford RAMI (Rockford Annual Music Industry) Award as well as a nomination for album of the year.
Luciana has done countless theater performances that include musicals, and in the summer of 2006, she was recognized with a Spotlight Award for her role as Dahlia in Rock Valley Colleges rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Broadway musical Cats. Driven to take her career further, Luciana moved to Atlanta where she continued with local theatrical productions and later introduced to independent film. Luciana worked as an extra in a few major film productions as well as some stand-in roles with the Tyler Perry Studios. These opportunities piqued her interest in filming both in front and behind the camera.
In 2012 Luciana wanted to tap into entrepreneurship so she created a film company called "LucyLu Filmz". One of LucyLu Filmz first projects was a sitcom called Living with LucyLu a situational comedy about" Five middle-class aspiring actors living together in Atlanta, navigating through life’s hurdles while seeking fame and fortune in the world of entertainment". The sitcom was well received and on its wat to notoriety but in the summer of 2016 after filming the pilot for the show Luciana had to put a halt on the show due to a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Now two years cancer-free Luciana is ready to make a comeback into the entertainment scene. She made her mark in 2019 when she joined Gadsden Alabama's Theater of Gadsden's musical cast of 1940's Radio Hour Winning her a "Best Newcomer" award. The following year they cast her in "To Kill A Mocking Bird". And in April of 2019, Luciana was cast in her dream role as "Ursula" in CharACTers Production of "The Little Mermaid".
Currently, Luciana is working on some rereleased music and another solo album along with finishing her sitcom. She is hoping the future will receive her again as it once did before.
