About Lynda Cole

Lynda has been a longtime harpist and flute player. She improvises with other musicians and creates music in the moment as well as being a songwriter and arranger. Lynda is both a musician and a holistic health (expired link) worked as a massage therapist for many years and studied a broad variety of healing (expired link) currently teaches mindfulness based stress reduction at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon, works part time as a Mental Health (expired link). and does private counseling.
Lynda plays around Oregon in a variety of venues as a solo artist on harp, voice, silver and Native American flutes, and recently started performing as a duo with a guitarist named Dano((expired link))She will be heading down to Ventura,California, and Southern California the last two weeks of June for some gigs with him.
Lynda's first CD "Spreading Wings", with Jan Michael Looking Wolf,a Native American flute player, was a finalist for best song, New Age in the Independent Music Awards.
It was also a finalist in the Open Instrumental category of The International Acoustic Music Awards, and a winner in the Native Spirit category in the Indian Summer Music Awards as well as a finalist in their Spiritual category.
