About MacTee
Imo state born Mac-Anthony Ugochukwu Abirika, and my stage name is “MacTEE”, as a kid I listened to my dad playing songs from the likes of Bob Marley and Don Williams, it spurred the music instincts in me, which led me to form a musical group in high school. After my high school education, i ''MACTEE'' decided to pause on the music scene and further my education, I proceeded to CARITAS University Enugu State, Nigeria, to study Accounting after some months I transferred to MADONNA University where I completed my Bachelor’s degree.
MACTEE is an Accountant by profession, but I never forgot my first love which was music. It wasn’t shocking that immediately I graduated from the university in 2011 I decided to return to the industry that I had always longed for, I met with my long time friend and school mate Mr. Bobby Romeo The CEO of Surest Boiz Entertainment, and my musical sojourn began.
MACTEE is the real definition of a versatile musician, I do music with ease and passion, I understands the basics and rudiment of music, I do R n’B, Hip-hop, Reggae, Techno, Afro and am set to take over the Nigerian music scene and the world, with a banging new single, titled “DELILAH” which was produced by MikkyMe Joses and includes a West African collaboration from my Ghanaian counterpart EL; the single shows the Reggae side of MACTEE and had EL spicing it up. I get my inspiration from legends such as Wyclef Jean, Bob Marley, Kenny Rogers, Lauren hill, Tuface Idibia and P-square.
