I am an Artist from Arkansas on a mission to revolutionize the entertainment industry. Born Courtney Hampton Jan. 27, 1978, Makbwoy hails from the southern state of Arkansas. Growing up in the small town of Gould for the first 8 years of his life he didn't really listen to rap or hip hop music, that was until the summer of 1987 when he had a summer job and he purchased his first rap cassette tap of Kool Moe Dee. He listened to it and liked the way it sounded and from then on he was interested in the musical art form totally different from the blues and gospel that was played at his home at that time. In 1987 he would move to Pine Bluff, AR and be exposed to the what was becoming the new HIP HOP culture first it was the dance and bass and then gangster music which has dominated the genre for quite some time. The south has been the focal point of hip hop for 10 plus years now and Arkansas has yet to have an artist reach main stream success, is it time now...stay tuned
