They fooled me!

Really, they did! For a second I thought I was listening to a Bad Religion song. And I love Bad Religion, so that would mean these guys also earn my respect. And they did! I really dig this song and as I write this it's blasting my speakers. If I have to name one bad thing about it, I'd have to say the mix. A better mix could help this song to really stand out! But apart from that: great work! Looking forward for more!

sound's good

nice song good the mixing of the sounds good the voice the sond has its own power, good to lissten to twice and more, ok there's nithing new, but we punkers love it I think they're a good band very interessing

Along the Way

I think this band. They sounds good. I sort of get a rock / punk vibe in the style of this music. If I were to compare to other bands of today I would say you guys sound live Green Day meets The Ramones.

Fast, but not hard enough

Not really being an expert for these genres, I have some difficulties where to put this into. The musicians are way too good for a Punk Band, but the sound is not powerful enough to be categorized as Metal. The lead voice ain't spectacular at all, reminds me a bit on the Spin Doctors back in the 90s. The drum sound is thin, especially the snare sounds more like a toy. I think the song would have earned a better production. The guitars are fancy and competent, and the speed of the song is amazing. You're rather in sync, even at this pace. So I think you've got quite some potential!

Along the Way

Along the Way by Manifest Illusion has an authentic dirty sound and feel, like you are listening to them live at a concert. The song has a punk rock attitude with vocals that are actually sung very articulate, understandable, and in key. You can hear many influences in Along the Way including the Misfits and Metallica. Well written song with many great attributes. If you like fast melodic punk style music you will like this band and song, so give them a listen! Scott...WFJS

High energy rock at it's finest!

Manifest Illusion has nailed the high energy beast into a box on this one. "Along The Way" is a song that has all the energy of a nuclear blast contained contained in a 2 minute and 47 second release. This is done much in the style of Blue Oyster Cult but with many times more energy. The music is well structured, with great lyrics and vocals and sufficient musical material to maintain the listener’s interest. Along The Way is a fine example of what power rock should be. Fast and Furious

Along the way is punk rock at its core, fast and aggressive !! With influences from the past 30+ years Manifest Illusion kick starts blood into the heart and off they go guitars blaring, vocals pounding along with the drums & bass !! These guys are a tight net group of musicians and even though its a fast song it is a clear recording. This tune is a must listen here on N1M for any rock fan or all around music lover !!

I Like!

Can't quite decide who this sounds like, but it is a familiar sound. Don't get me wrong...It's a good sound. I like how everyone is tight with their playing. The singing is good and too the point. This band sounds really good, and ready for the road. Like what you are doing. Keep Rocking! Sincerely Edward Westbrook

kicking tune!

This is a good kicking punk rock tune. With well played guitars and drums. The vocalist does a good job also. Although this is not my kind of music I can appreciate the work and energy that has been put into it. I am sure this is superb live. The lyrics are good too. It is good old fashioned punk rock the way it should be . The recording levels all seem ok but maybe the drums could be a bit lower in the mix

Nice guitar start , good rock song , well produced and performed well , I like the vocalists voice , it reminds me of def leopard nice guitar , solo kinda Indian feel about it , it's very well arranged and has ups and downs with good dynamics heaven drums and then just acoustic guitar it all goes together pretty well I wish you all the very best of luck with this , keep up the good work

Fast Way Along The Way

Guitar as an intro to a rock/punk song is always a good thing. Fast tempo. The speed singing goes along with the song, but I guess that's one thing I never really understand about punk. Why is it sung so fast? It's like taking an old record on a 33 and turning it up to 45. What's the point? However, this is a cute song and sounds well produced. The vocals are understood and I bet you're a hit on the punk circuit!

I like the 'overdrive' beat you have on the song, and the vocal harmony was good also. It just takes you by the short hairs and hangs on for dear life as it goes. I don't have 'any' critique other than I would have added a lead on 'top' of the vamp going out. A shredding guitar at the end would make it 'pop' ~ going out. You might want to try it and let me hear it after you do it. Good Luck on your music adventure......Gizzmow, in Bonham, Texas ~

high speed x 10

Manifest Illusion presents their song Along the Way, a well crafted, and well mixed, fast paced punk-rock song, convincing with tasteful stops and breaks to give the singer a bit of time to catch breath. This band is super tight even with extensive use of double kicks. This is topped by a thoughtful intro/outro and a nice bridge. The vocals are often what makes or breaks a band. Well in this case, they are well suited for their style of music and I hope you will take it far.

I am lovin' this musc! Being a Greenday myself, I was a little bummed that they haven't written anything in quite awhile, so this is a damn near fix for me. You guys rock. The louder I play this song, the better I like it =)

Your Song "Along the Way"

Let's start off by saying this Band put's their Music in overdrive by the upbeat tempo with the Drums pumping Ethel and the Bass and Guitar with straight up rhythms are in Moss pit stomp your face mode with no Leads needed while the Vocals just spitting out meaningful words in a rapid but very clear perfect Punk style voice. I think this three piece band is just driven to succeed and if you have a chance to hear them somewhere Along the Way you better do yourself a favor and check em Out. Write On~~~

Yeah I like this song , Fast and powerful. I love the way the vocals flow on the verse , the Ska punk section really breaks it up to stop it getting monotonous. The fast power cord changes are also a nice touch, The only thing that stands out to me that I don't like is hitting the bell of the cymbal. It is to high in the mix and sounds like someone tapping a glass , Apart from that the production and recording sounds great , nice guitar break And in all a catchy little number, Nice one, I look forward to hearing more of your songs. All the best for the future Steve

Manifest Illusion brings us Along the Way, a throwback to classic punk with metal overtones. Its not often when one experiences a crossover such as this. In terms of its tonality, there are classic inferences to groups like Green Day and even Stray Cats and I swear I hear a touch of Rush in its metal influence albeit it Neil Peart never used a double pedal. From a producers standpoint I give this song high marks with the only criticism being that the one accent percussion was not quite buried in the mix as I would have done it and I would have enjoyed hearing just a touch more metal in the guitar solo. However as a crossover song this works quite well!

I love it. Fast and uptempo. Definitely unique in its style. Its got that mix of hard rock punk! Solo guitar is not too bad. Overall it is really a good song. I listened to it twice. The intro is really cool. the vocals flow well with the speed of the music. timing is top notch in the change ups. Definitely bang my head material. Great song guys!
