QUICK-BIO - MANPARRIS
Early 1980's when i was stimulated by the power of all kinds of music and wanted to play it everywhere not just in my bedroom and singing in my bathroom mirror.
So mid 80's i paid for a stack of speakers to be made and purchased a van and equipment and was up for anything, after securing a couple of nights for a regular weekly and fortnightly performances in Coventry
I use to Dj in a busy pub in Coventry called The Three Tunns in 1986, I also deejay in various other venues in Coventry playing from reggae to hip-hop but was still limited to what kind of music I could play, I also was a mobile dj just doing usual stuff weddings, birthday parties, and my own nights at a pub in the city centre called The Sir Colin Campbell a proper student place in Coventry, I could play what I pleased so this place was heaven in my eyes and a Night club called Shades.
I only had 10 good rave tracks at the time due to availability, but my normal set was still good enough to get by, with tracks from Eric b and Rakim to Soul to Soul and Hip House was big alongside UK rap tracks by Derek B etc which all fell into the beginnings of when rave music hit Coventry so it was a good mix, the venue was getting more and more popular by the weeks going by fuelling my hunger to be someone who entertains and makes people happy.
Pirate Radio Rapid Radio was one of my encounters in the old days which was highly successful until i was arrested for illegal broadcast and blocking local radio
1988 i was approached by The Amnesia House rave organisation to bring my equipment to a illegal rave at a warehouse in a Coventry Industrial Estate and from that moment i never looked back my life got projected but for my microphone talents and very rarely my djing talents but i wasn't complaining i love to write poetry and rap to rave music, i then got very popular and was getting bookings from all over the UK from small events with 300 people to bigger for 15.000 like Amnesia House, Helter-skelter, Global Gathering, Pandemonium, Rezerection (Scotland), Dreamscape, Fantasia also Radio and TV appearances, i'm on numerous songs that either sample my voice or performed with and worked for two of the best management agencies in the UK i am now writing my memoirs and still enjoying working for the scene in 2024.
