Thonrhill, ON, Canada based Marc Ballesteros is a singer, composer, musician, performer, and recording artist. Although he's been singing since he was a child, he only started his musical career after venturing in the Philippines in 1995. He was signed to the country's biggest label, VIVA Records, with the assistance of Asia's Queen of songs, Pilita Corrales. His self-titled album, in which he wrote 6 of the 8 songs, was released later that year.

Marc collaborated with a group of artists in Canada in 1999 to include his song "Babe, I Love You" on a CD compilation entitled, "Dreamscapes" which was released the following year.

Although most of his songs are pop/adult contemporary, Marc's love of music is not limited to that genre alone. He enjoys listening and playing a wide range of musical style including classical, rock, country, R&B, jazz, etc. and you’ll hear these styles in his own compositions. He is self taught in guitar and piano and does not read music.

With the desire to appreciate the arts even more, he ventured into acting and stage musicals. With a vocal range of middle bass to high tenor, he performed his first broadway musical in November 2000 entitled, "The Secret Garden", a presentation of Theatre Aurora. After "The Secret Garden" run, he joined Music Theatre Etobicoke for the production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in which he played the role of Asher, one of Joseph's 11 brothers. This was shown in February of 2001. He played the role of Smudge in the four-part harmony musical production of "Forever Plaid" which ran during the dinner-theatre series at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Aurora, ON and at the Newmarket Theatre, ON from September thru October, 2001. This was a production of Howard Johnson Hotel and Mainstreet Theatre Company. In the Spring of 2003, Marc joined other artists to present a medley of favourite Broadway hits presented at Markham Theatre for Performing Arts and was entitled "A Taste of Broadway". An encore presentation of the show was presented the following year.

In the Summer of 2003, two of Marc's songs were selected in the first singer/songwriter competition held at Maryhill Winery and Amphitheatre in Goldendale, Washington, USA. He was selected among 40 other songwriters nationwide.

In 2005, Marc produced his CD "Goin' All The Way" which reflects the versatility in his music. Furthermore, Marc had taken heart in helping raise funds for Princess Margaret Hospital and joined the "Riding to Conquer Cancer" in July 2008, a more than 200-km bicycle ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls and did it for 3 consecutive years. With the generosity of some friends and families, total money he had raised for PMH for 3 years was almost $11,000! This event also inspired his current CD entitled, "Riding My Bike". The American Cancer Society's Connecticut Challenge bike event also took notice of this CD and used the carrier song for their annual bike event promoted during their Memorial Day parade float in May of 2009. The song was played throughout their holiday parade.

He performed his Valentine Concert on Feb. of 2011 dedicated to his mom who passed away in 2010 from complications of diabetes and heart failure.

His latest CD is entitled “Charlotte Harbor”, inspired from him and his wife’s frequent visits to Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, FL and shared their time with friends.

He performs at various venues in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, at various private functions such as weddings, seminars, birthday parties, socials, etc. Other places also includes several retirement residences and long term care facilities. In the States, he frequently plays at favourite tourist spots including Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda, Florida and several clubs and restaurants in the Southwest Florida area, in Nashville, Tennessee including the world renowned Bluebird Cafe.
