Read moreHello everyone! I know it's been awhile since I last messaged you directly. My sincere apologies but I can tell you it's because I've been busy balancing alot of projects as of late. And I'm not complaining, I'm very grateful.
One of the major things I wanted to tell you is that FINALLY as of yesterday, I have a website up and running! I'm very excited about this and it's been a long time coming as you know. I invite all of you to please come take a look at the new site, sign up for the mailing list there as this will be my new "HQ" online presence speaking, and please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions on some things you'd like to see as part of the site. Please bear with me a little for now as things are still under construction while I'm learning this process and tweaking things on the page. But I can tell you that for now I do have a merch store in place already where both of my previous albums are featured for sale in both digital and/ or CD form if you like, and I have classic black Unisex T-Shirts with the Dancing With Dragons Cover on the front available for sale for $15.50 for most sizes. There will be much more to come in the merch section soon as well, so hang tight!
Also just to give you an update, I have been continuing work on the 15'th Anniversary edition of "Dancing With Dragons." I've got the basic tracking done for 5 of the songs now, so just 3 more to go and then it's on to mixing and mastering! Hopefully I will have everything ready to go with that before the end of the year. So as I'm getting closer to completion I will definitely let you all know.
For now, I hope that you all get to enjoy the fall season as it comes rolling in, and as always I appreciate all your support and encouragement. We'll talk again soon!

Greetings to everyone! I hope that the new year has treated everyone well so far and everyone has been staying safe & healthy. I know it's been awhile since I've given any updates here, but there has been some personal things going on here that took me away from the music for awhile.
On December 25, my mother passed away from complications that arose from what was originally a respiratory issue but became something way more serious and ultimately fatal. This was and has been a big blow to me as she was always one of my biggest supporters over the years & she meant the world to me and my sister. So as you can imagine since then we have had alot of family business to take care of. We're still in the process of sorting everything out and there's still been days that it's been difficult emotionally, but I have slowly been finding my way back to the music, as I know that ultimately that is what's going to help get me through, & because I know that both she and my father would want me to continue pursuing my musical endeavors. So I just ask for now that you continue to be patient with me, & I hope to have some things in the works here just as soon as I can. Thank you all for all of your support, it means the world to me. It's been a long & interesting journey at times, but I can see the end goal in sight now. Now it's just putting together the running order of the tracks, & cover art for the album. Greetings everyone! With the ongoing process that has been bringing together material for my 2'nd album, I'm excited to pass along the news that I have reached the point of finishing initial recording of the tracks, & have taken them about as far as I can. So THAT means, it's time to put out a call for some fellow musicians that can help me put the finishing touches on some things, & add some elements that are outside my capabilities. This is an exciting, & little bit scary point for me, as I never thought that this little solo thing of mine would, or could get to this point. This could be the beginnings as well of finding some musicians to back me so that I (we) can actually start performing this material live. Something I've been wanting to do for awhile now. It's amazing to me again how this whole thing started a few years back with what essentially was just some song ideas, & it's now starting to blossom in new directions. As always, I am forever grateful to friends, family, fans & peers that have encouraged me & supported me in this endeavor since the beginning. I wouldn't have gotten to this point without you, & I thank you.
As for an album title, I haven't settled on anything yet. Many ideas have come & gone over the last few years in putting this together, but I think it will be one of those things that will come to me once everything is finally finished. At this point there is still no set release date for the album. There's still some recording to be done once I find the accompanying musicians, & then of course mixing & mastering, album artwork, all that good stuff. I'm hoping by spring of 2017 at the latest, as I'm anxious & excited about taking this to the next level.
I know this has taken awhile, but I think it will be worth the wait. I will of course keep you informed as progress continues on. Until then, Happy Halloween (Samhain) everyone. Blessed Be!

Greetings friends! I know it's been awhile, so I thought it was time to catch up with everyone as to what's happening. So there was the release of my latest single a couple months back "Finding My Way", and the response has been fantastic! I thank you for all your support and patience as I'm working on trying to finish my 2'nd album. Things are coming together more day by day, and I'm excited at the direction things are taking. I've been able to experiment alot more this time around, so I think it will make for some interesting sounds. In the meantime, I'm also going to work on putting together a video for "Finding My Way". Hello all! I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for listening and for your support since I joined NumberOne Music. It's been quite a journey for me since first putting together and releasing my first album "Dancing With Dragons" back in 2009. What started as just an idea is really starting to take on a life of it's own, and it's very exciting to have you all be a part of it.

Thirdly, and probably most important, I am in the process of working on new music for my next album. Not sure of a release date at this point, but it should be sometime in 2015. There will be some things that are along the same lines as my first album, & some other songs where I really got to stretch out more musically. I'm excited about the direction things are taking, and again will keep you up to date with the progress of the album. I think that about covers it for now. About Marc Fain
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, recording artist & composer Marc Fain spent his formative years as a bassist for numerous local bands. In the early 2000's, he began to become enamored with various Celtic/ World music artists, finding inspiration from the likes of Loreena McKennitt, Clannad, composer Tim Janis, and more. Marc began recording sessions for what was to become his solo debut release in 2007. Two years later, he emerged with Dancing With Dragons, a collection of instrumental songs, formed mostly around bass & drums, and added a dash of some of his new found inspiration from the Celtic & World music community into his music. Dancing With Dragons was officially released in 2009.
Since then Marc has been involved with various musical projects, and has just released his second solo album “Finding My Way” in spring 2018. He has also spent the past several years working on a potential novel currently entitled Love, Loss, & Hope. This book is also inspired by his interest in Celtic history, his studies of his chosen form of spirituality, Wicca, along with his love for such books as The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and the Game of Thrones series. There are also plans in the works for a series of companion soundtracks to accompany his novel upon completion.
