Marco is known for his unique use of personification and conceptual metaphors, along with his highly expressive flow and articulation. Marco Uno started rapping at the age of 13 after being taught poetry at age 11 to resolve a childhood stress/anger problem and ever since has been an artist easily felt amongst others through his music. The 21-year old rapper/producer lists among his influences, Kanye West, Tupac Shakur, Q-Tip, Eminem, Biggie Smalls, Mase, and Redman.

Indepently, he has annually released 5 mixtapes (1 in 2009, 1 in 2010, 1 in 2011, and 2 in 2012) composed most commonly of J Dilla beats and popular instrumentals. His very first mixtape was enough to gain him notoriety in his city, making him easily one of the top emcees of the underground rap scene in Gary.
