Born out of Brooklyn, New York, an ambitious young man nicknamed Slimer (since childhood) had visions of becoming a well known DJ. His musical influences stemmed from his parents, who were focused on keeping their son on the right path. By the age of 12, Slimer realized his calling after watching the movie "Juice". His increasing interest in DJ'ing sparked as he watched his best friend's videos of DMC battles (World DJ Competition). Slimer was fascinated by both the ability of each DJ to control the crowd via music and also be able to provide entertainment through the use of turntables.

At 19, DJ Slimer teamed up with long time friend "DJ OnPoint" and entered into the mixtape circuit. He began creating exclusive blend tapes and sold them to friends and classmates in college as well as a few record stores on Jamaica Ave and in the city of Boston. In 2004, he made his way back to the mixtape scene and made a prominent name for himself by developing Radio CD's. With each Radio CD he created a sample that later became the DJ Slimer trademark, "Who's The DJ? Da Boogieman Himself!"™ Not long after, his name began to create a buzz in the mixtape circuit, generating friends and network ties with DJ OnPoint, DJ LRM, DJ Finesse, Green Lantern, Alchemist, and DJ Big Mike just to name a few. After creating a brand name for himself his techniques earned him the alias "Da Boogieman".
