Song Reviews
Deep Thoughts
Drifting Star has sent me a request to review their song "Sunshyne". Sometimes, I will find out later that the artist never sent a request to be reviewed and that Number One Music has sent out an algorithm. Drifting Star is asking for some insight. First off, I would lower the low harmony. EQ the power chords in the chorus brighter. Maybe some Hawaiian guitar fills in the chorus following the vocals. If you recorded digital, fly the Hawaiian guitar into the chorus. Tempo seems to be a little slow. Please don't take this review as an insult, you asked for a thought, I gave you my thoughts...

This song puts me in a place!
For me, this song is definitely a bar song. It puts me at the bar with some friends, drinking, laughing, having a good ole time. I like the 90's Alternative vibe (for me that's a positive thing) "melancholy-ish" feel it brings. And, I can certainly hear this being a great live song. Cool song!

SUNSHYNE
OK THIS IS AN INTERESTING AND VERY ORIGINAL SONG THE FIRST THING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IS MIX THE RYTHM ELECTRIC GUITARS UP OVERALL AND ESPECIALLY IN THE CHORUSES THE SONG WOULD BENEFIT GREATLY AND GIVE THIS TRACK THE PUNCH THAT IT NEEDS ALSO I THINK THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE DYNAMICS IN THE VOCALS BETWEEN THE VERSES AND THE CHORUSES AND MORE PASSION IN THE DELIVERY OF THE VOCALS OVERALL..WORTH A LISTEN OR TWO NONE THE LESS

Good Moaning...Sunshyne!!! Lol
To be honest with you D.S., this is your picture how you painted it. Sounds like it should be on a Netflix original. Now to act as if I created it? That hook would make "me" say it thru gritted teeth. (Hence, my logo). Because some people are assholes even on the good days. Not everyday is going to be great...but damn, tell them how you really feel. P.s. sorry Im just now seeing this...been super busy. Keep jammn.

not bad, could be a little faster
This song is ok. i like the guitar playing. i just think the song could be a little faster. It is also quite short. Perhaps another verse would help, or repeat the first verse. Some backing vocals in the chorus would help, too. It needs something to make it catchy and make it stand out from the pack. more melody is the key, otherwise the song sounds dull and boring.

Very nice song, sweet and strong !
Hello, here is finally something original and at the same time very basic. The intro is really well executed and very unexpected without mentioning the song itself, a beautiful melody with beautiful words and tasty vocals. Beautiful job from guitars sounds very cool and also nice unexpected harmony. Congratulations, this could definitely be a great hit. From a jazzman who loves music in general. All the best to you ... first thing right out of the gate I was thinking of the band weezer...in the best of the best way...total groove to it great musicianship and writing...for me very hip..loved it. Its a quickie too..like 2 minutes ..if you can not ride this song out till the end you have the attention span of a earth worm...great job guys.

So UnFair!
Very trippy at first but then the melody became quite hypnotic and relaxing. Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into but I am rather happy that I did. Some great harmonies and eerie bendy notes made my ears very happy down to my spine! A Weezerish chorus, and maybe I hear a bit of Mazzy Star. Overall a fun tune with experimental tone galore, well arranged, produced and looking forward to listening to more!

I like this track, it has a strange original sound. Very catchy guitar, the vocals are lazy and laid back but I like that . Production is quite good good mix between all the instruments. A short quirky song , leaves you wanting to hear more . Really likening the intro , I can’t really compare it to any other bands I know which in a way is a good thing, well done keep up the original good work

DARKNESS SEEKING ENLIGHTENMENT! LOST IN THE FOG OF THE PAST!
DARK MADDER (why do I still keep envisioning the Mad Hatter) comes out of the "dark" studio once more with a whisper from the past! I reviewed another offering from the "MADDER" very recently. I compared that one with crossing Dylan and Zappa, in a not so loving review. Here I have a new request, MADDER must love abuse..lol, for "Sunshyne". The movement here is away from Dylan/Zappa combo and more into another squeak from the past which is more like some of the flower power / psychedelic fog numbers from the 60's/ 70s. The continuing theme with DARK MADDER seems to be a "muddy" sound redolent of retro vibes. Will this gain an audience? Will DARK MADDER come into the light? Will I ever stop thinking Mad Hatter each time MADDER asks for a review? The answer to these and more questions will come with time...or not! MADDER asks, "what should I do?". What you should do is follow your creative heart! If you truly believe in what you are doing then keep doing it. Creation is something much like joing the Circus..ity is in your blood and no transfusion will clear it out! Your choices are Create or Die! You seem to be having a bit of a problem with finding an audience, your numbers are sub zero. My one suggestion would be to change and expand your categories of music fare. My take would be that you should list yourself as Other, Abstrac, Psychedelic Rock...cause you are truly NOT Rock as such! This may draw some more interest! My take on "Sunshyne" is better than "What I want" but is still not something I would actually listen to in my spare time! But that is me, who knows what others may feel!

Good
The recording is good backed by lovely guitar. I felt at times the tune was slightly off pitch..the chorus is good, and I like the notes are kept on lower octave... overall a good start and finish.. a good melody.

Not so bad
Nice song, even if it does not particularly touch or affect the senses. It sounds like a lot of things, sounds like everything, and this is perhaps its strength and its weakness. Registration is quite good.
