Hi Folks, our new single "Rocket 5" is out from the new CD "Love and Folk Songs from the Central Plains of ZORK" that will be released on June 1st, 2020. This is a 30 year anniversary CD release of music that was released only on cassette tape back when were a staple on NYC Underground Radio and playing gigs in NYC. This single was our encore song and we closed the night out with it. It's really an honor to get this music finally out. If you like it, please share it on Facebook and bring people in the N1M to listen to it for free. Should be up for purchase soon on Amazon, Spotify, iTunes, etc. Releasing it here, on N1M first, in appreciation to all those that are our N1M fans! Thank's for your continued support.

Hi Folks, Thanks for standing by us and consistently pinging us with your friendship and support. I'm happy to say that we should have 2 CDs coming out this year. The first CD, is some of the classic songs that got FM radio airplay back in the day when we were an underground college indie band. For those that liked the song "Flowers", this CD will be your mantra!

The second CD has 4 completely new songs that we are starting to play at our gigs here in the NYC area. We just did a show tonight where we played 2 of them.

HI My fellow Unemployed Teachers,

We just uploaded a new song today, Lucky, which is a song I put some guitar on during the Holiday Break. It was nice to break out the electric guitar, from the closet, and lay down some leads, using my home made amplifier and effects. Let me know if you like the vintage tone :)

This song was written by Peter Piper, one of the members of the Unemployed Teachers, and released under his name. Peter's quite talented and got's racks of synths he uses in his compositions. I hope all your adventures are Happy and in Balance and we really appreciate your appreciation and support of the Band. I'll be taking the Lucky song down in about a month, and putting up some more of the Pavlov's Chalkboard songs.

This year, I plan to concentrate on some totally solo live performances, where I'll play country blues songs, and we'll also add a percussion member to the acoustic Unemployed Teachers shows we have been doing and see where that takes us. I'll try to sneak some early 50's and 60's rock and roll into that set list and see how that goes over. Might post a Youtube clip or two from these shows, for those you you that can't make it out.

Hi, My fellow Unemployed Teachers,

We just uploaded another song "Little Child" from our CD, "Pavlov's Chalkboard" to our dashboard. We just performed it live for the first time tonight, at Espresso Joe's open mic. You can see that on the Youtube link below. We blew the verse to middle 8 transition, but that's OK. I was more interested in seeing what our new singer, Joyce, could bring to the song. I think she has a fabulous voice, and our harmonies sounded good, so I'm looking forward to practicing this a bit more and we are going to perform this out our headline show at Rock n Joe's on Dec 16th. This will be the only original song that we plan to do at this gig. Otherwise, it's going to be covers of Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, Motown, Chuck Berry, Allman Brothers, etc. We'll add more originals to our set as Joyce and I start to gel more. :)

Thanks so much for becoming a subscriber to The Unemployed Teachers! Some plans we have over the next several months, is to change our song list, so you can hear some different material each month We'll start with our newer release, "Pavlov's Chalkboard" and then move on to the older one, "End of an Empire and the Birth of a Wax Tadpole". We might also live stream a show that we are doing, if I can figure out, or someone shows us, how to do live streaming. There is also a lot of really cool stuff, that we have in the can, just not sure when it's going to be released.
