Martyn Bailey is a singer/songwriter from Worthing (near Brighton) in West Sussex, UK

Martyn Bailey is a brand new artist specialising in melancholy dream pop and released his first solo album independently last year called Gravity Zero. The album tells the story of a lost astronaut in space that is heading for a supernova, the songs tell us what's going on his mind through life flashbacks, loves lost and found and past experiences. The album is available on bandcamp, Amazon, iTunes etc on the Subculture Records label and Warner Chappell publishing.

Martyn is currently working on his follow up solo album DOLLS to be released in 2015.

Martyn Bailey is also the lead vocalist for Electronic band Apt also here on Reverbnation, a band formed with electronic music maestro Jon Russell otherwise known as Jonteknik. They released their first album Energy, Light and Darkness in February and is still available now on iTunes/Amazon etc and on CD at Bandcamp.

I want to make music that paints a picture or story in your mind that you won't want to leave. Somewhere to escape to for an hour or so when you put that album in your headphones, car, or front room I aim for you to be transported and live in that new world for a while. I use the magic moments from songs of artists that I love and fuse it in to my music using sounds that completely move us such as synths, guitars and orchestral arrangements with big drums to generate pure emotion. I hope you enjoy this world and continue to live in the atmosphere of this sound.

I am influenced by great artists such as Muse, Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, David Bowie, The Killers, White Lies, U2, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds and A-ha.
