After the label closed Marvin became an independent Country recording Artist and in 2016 released two singles Angel of Love & Country Roads. In 2016 Marvin won Tribute Artist of the year Award at the Josie independent Artist Awards in Nashville Tennessee at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and has been nominated for the same Award in 2017,2018,2019,2020,2021and 2022 and the award show will be at the Grand Ole Opry in NashvilleTennessee October 23rd 2022.
