We are a couple of Italian artists and Mat&AleCo® is our art ID; Matteo Licitra and Maria Alessandra Columbu. Maria Alessandra painter and she uses linen canvasses and special colours invented by her recipe with a mix with sugar, China ink and other natural materials. The result is quite tridimensional with different appearance on the front and back sides. If light is passing though the linen you have another visual effect. I’m now piano performer after an experience from dance and sounding sculptures done with aluminium and/or bronze casting. I always improvise and my music was called Atonal. I will take performing inspiration from the Maria Alessandra’s painted canvasses and the energy coming from the audience. The title we would like to titolate the event is “Calcium Carbonate, Molecular Fracture in the Human Rights”. Our aim is to minimise repulsion interacting by humans adopting music and shape in a way that what happens becomes determination to be happy also when things doesn’t work. Calcium Carbonate is also powder of white marble coming from Carrara in Italy. Part of the installation together with Maria Alessandra’s canvasses will be a pile of jute bags full of this powder, approx. 1kg weight each, numbered and signed.
