About MattySpan

Springs, East Rand native MattySpan, at age 21, (born Matthew William Spandiel) has accumulated a humble fan base after his first release, Dreams, from his upcoming debut EP "Dreams".

After dropping out from university at the end of 2015, MattySpan went on to writing and producing his own flavour of Hip-Hop which has elements of Blues, Trap and RnB. At age 15 he started teaching himself how to play drums and a year later he moved on to playing his favourite Rock/Blues songs on guitar and from there he taught himself how to play piano.
His catchy hooks, heartfelt verses, emotional guitar solos have caught the hearts of his fans and made international debut when Dreams got airplay in the UK by BeatRate Radio in August 2016.

His major influences are from Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, (expired link) and Kendrick Lamar.
He is currently working on his debut mixtape "Dreams" that will be released later in 2016 with guest upcoming rappers Varocious and T-Jay.
