Mechanical Renegade (aka: Brennen Skyy Smoot) is an unique artist out of West Virginia that blends various styles of music creating a sound that can hold its own in any scenario. He draws his musical influences not from other artists and musicians, but from all the events and poisons of the world. This combination makes his sound very hard to be boxed in.

In January 2004, Renegade was signed to West Virginia based indie record label Wastelandic Paradise being its first electronica artist. Under Wastelandic Paradise, Renegade has recorded four albums and appeared on three albums.

On October 6th, 2007, Renegade attempted and set the world record for the longest DJ session with multiple turntables at a single time without any backup equipment going 120 hours 2 minutes (5 days) nonstop using 4 turntables and 2 mixers.
